I spent the summer after Two Nice Girls broke up in NYC and wrote this song. I excitedly took it back to Andy for us to work on as one of our very first numbers in The Gretchen Phillips Xperience. It was months before I realized that one reason the chorus had pretty much just written itself is because it's the very beginning of Sonic Youth's White Kross. Oops. I give them full credit legally, just so you know.
